This stretch of road takes us through a mix of residential and commercial areas, offering a glimpse of what life is like in this part of Connecticut. As we drive, we’ll see several small businesses, including a gas station and a convenience store. We’ll also pass by several residential neighborhoods, with homes that range from small ranch-style houses to larger, more modern homes. Continuing on, we’ll soon approach the intersection of Derby Milford Rd and New Haven Ave, which marks the border between the towns of Orange and Derby. This area is home to several shops and businesses, including a popular pharmacy and a supermarket. As we turn onto Rt 34, we’ll see several more businesses, including a shopping center with several stores and restaurants. This area is also home to several parks and recreational areas, including the Osbornedale State Park, which offers hiking trails, picnic areas, and fishing opportunities. As we continue on Rt 34, we’ll pass by several more residential neighborhoods, including some that are set back from the road and offer more privacy and seclusion. We’ll also see several more small businesses and shops, including a few local eateries and a hardware store. Finally, we’ll approach the intersection of Rt 34 and Rt 8, which offers easy access to other parts of Connecticut, including Bridgeport, New Haven, and Hartford. This intersection also marks the end of our drive tour, offering a glimpse of what life is like in this charming part of Connecticut.
